regarding the continued prevalence of female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage, and sex-discriminatory personal status laws in the country. All have a negative impact on women and girls\u2019 ability to enjoy their civil and political rights and constitute violations of Iran\u2019s obligations under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equalityhumanrights.com\/en\/our-human-rights-work\/monitoring-and-promoting-un-treaties\/international-covenant-civil-and#:~:text=ICCPR%20is%20an%20international%20human,fair%20trial%20rights\">International
