Previously, she implemented and was the head of the Media &amp; Entertainment and Privacy &amp; Data Protection Practices of a renowned Brazilian full-service law firm for 11 years. She was also General Counsel at Grupo Globo, the biggest media group in Latin America, from 1997 to 2008.<\/p>\n<p>She is a professor at Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Get\u00falio Vargas (FGV) Law School where she teaches Media &amp; Entertainment and Privacy &amp; Data Protection Law. Simone is an arbitrator for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). At the International Bar Association (IBA), she is a member of the Advisory Board for the Technology Law Committee, where she served as co-chair (2015-2016). She was also chair of the Sports Law Subcommittee (2020-2021). She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional \/ Europe CIPP \u2013 E; Certified Information Privacy Manager \u2013 CIPM; and Certified Data Protection Officer \u2013 CDPO\/BR by the International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP).<\/p>\n<p>Chambers and Partners, Who\u2019s Who Legal, The Legal 500 and Best Lawyers listed her among the world\u2019s leading media and entertainment lawyers.
