Katherine Payne joined Equality Now in April 2018. She is currently Associate Director, Digital and Production. Katherine has extensive experience in communications and innovation in the charity sector. She began her career in fundraising before joining the Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB), supporting young blind people to campaign on the issues that mattered to them, from transport and technology to employment and access to voting.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

She went on to co-found\u00a0Wayfindr<\/a>, a collaboration between digital product studio ustwo and RLSB, creating a global standard to enable vision-impaired people to navigate using their smartphones. This sparked her continuing interest in social technology and the opportunities and challenges these innovations bring to charities and non-profits. Katherine has a B.A. in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Katherine was inspired to fight for women’s rights by her parents, who encouraged conversations about feminism and the patriarchy from a young age.
