She has extensive experience in legal practice, research, legislative drafting, policy reform, advocacy, and program management, gained through diverse roles in the government, non-governmental organizations and the private sector.<\/p>\n<p>She previously worked in a private law firm, litigating at all levels of the judicial system on constitutional and human rights petitions, judicial review applications, pro-bono, land and employment matters. She also worked at the Senate- Parliament of Kenya under a capacity strengthening programme by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy; at the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice in departments dealing with International Law and Government Transactions, Legislative Drafting, and Litigation; and at the County Government of Kwale under the USAID FIRM (Financial Inclusion for Rural Microenterprises)\u2019s flagship County Internship Program.<\/p>\n<p>Nina holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Public International Law and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi. Her LLM dissertation evaluated the role of the African Court on Human and Peoples&rsquo; Rights on the protection of women\u2019s rights under the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples\u2019 Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa (Maputo Protocol).
