In our report, <a href=\"https:\/\/equalitynow.org\/resource\/reports\/words-deeds-beijing30-report\/\"><i>Words &amp; Deeds: Holding Governments Accountable in the Beijing+30 Review Process<\/i> <\/a>(March 2025), we document both existing and emerging legal threats that are reversing previous gains or stalling progress on women\u2019s and girls\u2019 rights.<b> Here, we further highlight key consensus-building.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Encourage and incentivise other governments<\/b> to incorporate international human rights standards in their laws and policies.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Push back and guard against the weaponisation of language<\/b> around \u2018family values\u2019 that is meant to weaken the hard-won rights of women and girls, and LGBTQ+ persons.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Provide material resources, and financial and political support to civil society<\/b> organisations, feminist, human rights-based, and multistakeholder movements.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Protect freedom of expression<\/b> and eliminate arbitrary restrictions or criminalisation of human rights defenders, independent media, survivors and activists.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Meaningfully engage with vulnerable and excluded populations<\/b>, human rights defenders, and civil society to understand and act on concrete concerns
