These standards are central to Equality Now\u2019s work to <a href=\"https:\/\/equalitynow.org\/resource\/reports\/failure-to-protect-how-discriminatory-sexual-violence-laws-and-practices-are-hurting-women-girls-and-adolescents-in-the-americas\/\">reform rape laws across the Latin America and Caribbean region<\/a> and to <a href=\"https:\/\/equalitynow.org\/resource\/briefs\/legislating-on-sexual-violence-with-a-consent-based-approach-in-latin-america-and-the-caribbean\/\">promote consent-based definitions<\/a>.
