\u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.resonancengo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RESONANCE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d assesses the Republic of Moldova\u2019s implementation of recommendations from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/en\/hr-bodies\/upr\/md-index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">third Universal Periodic Review cycle<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on gender-based violence against women and girls.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It highlights gaps in laws, policies and practice concerning sexual violence, domestic violence, femicide, and child and forced marriage. The submission assesses progress in implementing these recommendations and finds that many remain only partially implemented.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The submission\u2019s recommendations underscore the necessity of aligning national legislation, policies and practices, and improving their implementation in accordance with international human rights standards to effectively prevent and address these forms of gender-based violence and ensure access to justice and support for survivors, including those facing intersecting
