Raphael\u2019s work involves supporting the development and implementation of effective MEKI systems and processes for Africa\u2019s portfolio. His work covers the range of M&amp;E, knowledge, and information processes with a particular emphasis on meeting the monitoring and evaluation needs of restricted grants and institutional donors.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Raphael worked for AWE, USAID Mission Support for Journey to Self-Reliance Pivot, Catholic Relief Services, Marie Stopes Kenya, and Bridge International Academies. He has a BA in Anthropology from the University of Nairobi and a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Kenya Institute of Management and is currently studying for an MSc in Public Health with the University of South Wales, UK.<\/p>\n<p>Raphael is inspired by the Dutch activist Jens van Tricht\u2019s book \u2018Why Feminism is Good for Men\u2019. In it, he argues that feminism is not just about improving the position and status of women but also about freeing men (and women) from the restrictive codes that hold them back.
