The joint submission deals with our concern about prevailing gender discrimination against Nepali women, who are denied the right to confer nationality on their children and spouses and to acquire and retain their own nationality on an equal basis with men, with severe consequences for women and their families.
The Committee referenced this submission in their Concluding Observations following their 71st session in November 2018.
