Ukraine – Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women – 83rd Session, 2022

Key recommendations

We present the following submission in advance of the 83rd Session of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (‘the Committee’), taking place between 10 and 28 October 2022, for consideration of Ukraine’s ninth periodic report.

This joint submission outlines the challenges in the criminal justice system and the legislation of Ukraine in addressing sexual violence crimes and provides recommendations for improving access to justice for victims and survivors of sexual violence through improving legislation, policy and criminal justice procedures.
