Advocating for enhanced legal protections, Equality Now presents a detailed submission for the EU-Kazakhstan Human Rights Dialogue 2024, focusing on the urgent need to address violence against women and girls in Kazakhstan. This document, derived from extensive research and collaboration with local partners, underscores the persistent challenges faced by survivors of sexual violence, highlighting the gaps in legal frameworks and systemic barriers that impede access to justice.
With this submission, Equality Now urges the EU Delegation to promote a more responsive justice system and support for survivors of violence in Kazakhstan.
