Equality Now At Home With RISE author and illustrator Maliha Abidi X Sheetal Sheth

A very special Q&A featuring Maliha Abidi, author and illustrator of Rise: Extraordinary Women of Colour Who Changed the World, hosted by actor, activist, and author Sheetal Sheth.

This event will feature a discussion between Sheth and Abidi about diversity, inclusion, and representation, talking to children about feminism and gender equality, and the power of books to shape these discussions. And, of course, attendees are invited to participate, too!

Available now, Rise tells the incredible stories of one hundred remarkable women of color from over 40 countries. From an athlete who fled civil war on a sinking boat and went on to swim in the Olympics to the educator who built the first university in the world to the first Black female astronaut, each of these women overcame obstacles to reach the highest of heights in her field and changed the world for women and girls.
