The positive energy in the room was inspiring as 350 guests joined us to celebrate equality and everyday activism. The honorees spoke from the heart about their passion for this cause. Sue Smalley, Ph.D reflected on the steps we can each take, both big and small, to make a difference, while Margaret Atwood reminded us of the historical precedent of inequality and the strength of activism when we unite together.

Amandla Stenberg, the inaugural recipient of the Changemaker Award presented by Gucci and CHIME FOR CHANGE, shared an open conversation with Tracee Ellis Ross about the importance of authenticity in activism and intersectionality in the women’s movement.

Host Whitney Cummings engaged and delighted the audience along with uplifting and humorous performances by MILCK, Linda Perry and Demetri Martin.
