Our Team

As the Finance and Admin Assistant based in Nairobi, Kenya, Celestine supports Equality Now’s Finance and Administrative team.

Celestine has both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Finance, is a Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants(ICPAK). She previously undertook a fellowship with Equality Now, as well as working with Government agencies Kenya Power and Nairobi Water as well as the pharmaceutical industry in the implementation of financial policies as well as managing the financial system and operations.

Celestine believes in equal opportunities between men and women. She is inspired by her teenage daughter who believes in being fearless in the quest for justice for all and the importance of the voices of young women to ensure women’s rights are upheld.

When not at work, Celestine enjoys watching tennis, rugby and soccer as well as reading French books to improve her language skills.

Celestine speaks English, French and Swahili.
