Our Team

Damien joined Equality Now in 2024 as Global Corporate Partnership Manager, helping the Development Team to support our donors. Damien began his career as a Legal Officer for UNHCR in Georgia, where he helped refugees and asylum seekers find safer lives — work he is incredibly proud of. He has also worked as a fundraiser for several nonprofit organizations in the United States, supporting underinsured patients and low-income communities. In addition to his nonprofit experience, he has worked as a journalist in Washington, D.C., covering political and social developments in the U.S. His feminist inspiration is his mother.

Originally from Georgia, Damien currently lives in Virginia, in the United States. In his free time Damien enjoys watching documentary films, hiking, swimming, and cooking vegetarian dishes. He speaks English, Georgian, French, and Russian.
