Michael Nduri

Global Subgrants and Partnerships Coordinator


Michael Nduri joined Equality Now in 2024 as Global Subgrants and Partnerships Coordinator.

He is a grants and partnership management specialist with a successful track record of over 10 years providing leadership and management of contractual and financial functions of complex donor-funded programs. He holds a Master of Science in Finance and Investment from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor of International Business Administration-Accounting options from the United States International University-Africa, a Certified Information System Auditor, Project Management from Amref Health Africa, a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and a member of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.

He worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as a project accountant for the World Bank-supported project Total War against HIV/AIDS. PWC was entrusted with overseeing the financial management under the TOWA project (Financial Management Agency). He has also worked with Amref Health Africa as a grants manager responsible for overseeing all the sub-granting functions of the organization. Before joining Equality Now, he was the Grants and Compliance manager of a USAID-funded project, USAID Nuru Ya Mtoto, managed by PATH Kenya.

In all these projects, he has been working to change the lives of the most vulnerable women and girls. He has vast knowledge in sub-award management, capacity building for civil society organizations using different approaches, managing risk associated with sub-granting, and development of related sub-granting Manuals and SOPs.

Outside work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and volunteering at his local church.
