Our Team

Tuva joined Equality Now in June 2024. As the Regional Communications Officer Africa, she offers all-rounded communications implementation, support, and advisory to Equality Now’s Africa and global team. This includes activities across both digital and traditional media platforms, ensuring the critical work Equality Now does is not only amplified, but also understood.

Tuva brings 10 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy. Most recently, she led and implemented marketing and communications strategies for Pan African and global organizations,  spanning key sectors such as finance, food systems, and entrepreneurship with clients such as Uber, MasterCard Foundation, AGRA and more. One of her proudest achievements is earning the Aga Khan Foundation’s ‘Most Compelling Campaign Award’ in 2018.

Tuva’s feminist inspiration is Wangari Mathaai. She says, “More than ever, and the older I grow, I remain in constant awe of her relentless bravery and the sacrifices it took to fight for something larger than yourself.”

Tuva is based in Nairobi, Kenya. She fluently speaks English and Swahili. In her free time, Tuva finds joy in music, food, and time spent with her friends and family.
