Our Team

Nuri joined Equality Now in November 2022 as the Global Operations Manager. In this role, she is responsible for designing, updating and streamlining internal systems, processes and policies based on our strategic plans and goals for growth.

Nuri has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pace University in Modern Languages and Cultures and a Masters in Science, Nonprofit Management from Columbia University. 

Her feminist icons include Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone, Isabel Allende, and, most importantly – her mom, who is her ultimate role model.

Outside of work, she loves to frequent museums and art exhibits, go to concerts of all genres, and curl up with a book while listening to a good record on vinyl.

Based in New York City, Nuri is fluent in English and Spanish and speaks intermediate French and beginner Hebrew and Arabic.
