Women's Action Network

The main engine of Equality Now’s campaign work is the Women’s Action Network (WAN), made up of more than 35,000 members in 160 countries around the world. Women's Action Network members use the Women’s Actions circulated by Equality Now to protest human rights violations against women and girls around the world. Women's Action Network members help Equality Now mobilize public pressure by voicing their opposition to these abuses and raising awareness within their own communities. Each Women’s Action issued by Equality Now highlights a human rights violation against women and girls in a particular country or geographical region. Many Women’s Actions also highlight an individual case that illustrates the violation and call for action on behalf of the women and girls who are suffering. All Women’s Actions are issued in English, Spanish, French, and Arabic to promote equal access to information and to facilitate broad-based grassroots participation.
