Sudan – Equality Now submission to the Human Rights Committee (CCPR) 124th Session October 2018

The submission respectfully urges the Committee to recommend to Sudan to comprehensively amend Article 149 of its 1991 Criminal Code to specifically criminalize marital rape; enforce current rape provisions; and enact laws that prevent all forms of sexual violence, including child, early and forced marriage.

The Committee referenced this submission in their Concluding Observations.
