Summary

The submission respectfully urges the Committee to recommend to Sudan to comprehensively amend Article 149 of its 1991 Criminal Code to specifically criminalise marital rape; enforce current rape provisions; and enact laws that prevent all forms of sexual violence, including child, early and forced marriage.

The Committee referenced this submission in their Concluding Observations.
