Gabriela Kletzel is Senior Legal Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean at Equality Now. She is an international human rights lawyer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with extensive experience in strategic litigation, international advocacy, public policy, and legal research.
Prior to joining Equality Now, Gabriela served as National Director of International Legal Affairs on Human Rights at Argentina’s Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. She also coordinated the Democracy and Human Rights Program at the Heinrich Böll Foundation and led the International Team at the Center for Legal and Social Studies (CELS). She has worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, CEJIL, and UN Women.
Gabriela has extensive experience working with the Inter-American and UN human rights systems on a broad range of human rights issues. Her work at Equality Now focuses on gender-based violence, legal reform, and access to justice for women and girls across Latin America and the Caribbean.
