To explore the methodological options for the collection of robust prevalence data on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in England and Wales, Equality Now, collaborated with the Department of Midwifery, City University London; the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Institute for Women’s Health, University College London, and the Foundation for Women’s Health Research and Development (FORWARD), to organize a research methodological workshop on 22-23 March 2012 in London with funding support from the Home Office.
This report presents the findings and recommendations from the workshop, intended to serve as a tool for preventing and eliminating FGM.
